Okay, so I love this video entitled Why I Pulled Back from Social Media. It’s one of the best descriptions of this issue that I have seen, to date.
Let’s see how I did since last time:
Phone jail: I made a little box, clearly out of reach. I do use it effectively during dinner, chores, and play time. But I need to keep my phone in there once I got to bed.
My kid has a great guided relationship with devices. Essentially, they can use it at the doctor’s or in an airport. Beyond that, no device screen time. Yeah, there’s tv, but I’m fine with a non-excessive amount of select tv.
Did I mention I need to stop bringing my phone to bed?
Besides that, my podcast time has significantly decreased as my commute has gone from 2+ hours a day to about 20 minutes. Yay!
